Smuggs Can't be Beat

Smugglers Notch is a great family resort. We love it there and we spend 2 weeks there every August. But it's not for everyone - I'll try to lay it out for you.Location: several miles outside of Stowe, VT. GREAT restaurants and shopping in Stowe. These are easily accessible in the summertime but hard to get to in the winter since the "pass" is closed. That turns a 10-minute drive into a 45-minute drive. Supermarket is about 15 minutes away in Winter or Summer.On-site restaurants and resources: Hearth and Candle is excellent, Mountain Grill is good family fare, pizza place, ice cream ...
