Great, but over-glorified
The place is beautiful, there's no doubt about it. The atrium makes for some lovely evening strolls or fun pictures. Do bring a sweater, it's freezing in there! Welcome to the Alamo
A truly amazing set-up as you pass through the lobby into the center of the hotel. They have everything from a mock Alamo to a miniature train set to the Riverwalk from San Antonio. I stayed at the Gaylord Texan during Christmas 2006. The room was very nice and the staff at the hotel was extremely nice.
