Woodlands is an excellent place to take your spouse for an overnight or several day trip on an special occasion.It is in the city but in a wooded area isolated from the traffic.It is close enough to Charleston,SC and surrounding gardens for day trips.

People often wonder why such a luxurious hotel is located in sleepy Summerville, but I say it's a welcome surprise. My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at Woodlands and enjoyed the property, but it wasn't 100 percent fabulous like we had hoped.
