Loved it! - Directly on the Beach - Fantastic Views & Beach

View, View & More View! We stayed at the "Rockaway Beach Resort" for 7 nights in the latter half of February 2005 with NO complaints. I have included a few photographs that you should be able to click on at the top of this review. "Rockaway Beach" is about 16 miles North on US 101 from the Oregon coastal town of "Tillamook", Oregon. It is also a few miles South of the small bay town of "Wheeler", Oregon on US 101. As you are driving north on US 101, and first entering the town of "Rockaway Beach", you will pass an intersecting street named "South 6th". Do not let this fool you. As the correct street to turn left on, to get to the hotel is on "NORTH 6th" street. Not the south. So you must continue through town heading north until the street names change to north. When you start getting near North 6th street you will see on your right side "Beach Pancake & Dinner" restaurant, then "Upper Crust Pizza" restaurant. Just after passing the "Upper Crust Pizza" restaurant start looking up and to your left. On North 6th street you will see a large blue sign, up in the air on a steel pole saying "Rockaway Beach Resort". Turn left here, cross over the railroad tracks, then go up one block and the road runs directly into the "Rockaway Beach Resort" office parking lot. If you miss your turn at North 6th street the next restaurant you will see on your right is "The Foghorn Sports Pub and Grill". If you see the Foghorn you know you went to far. Turn around and go back to North 6th street. Check-in time was 4:00 p.m. And checkout time was 11:00 a.m. We had made our reservations 1-week before we arrived via Internet. When we checked-in our reservations were correct and quickly and professionally handled. All of the counter people were very friendly. They went out of their way to welcome us to their "Rockaway Beach Resort". They took lots of time to explain to us what was available for us to use and do at the hotel on site.
