This place rocks!!!
My husband & I spent 5 nights at this fabulous resort in Pony, Montana. We were looking for a place to get away from it all & THIS IS THE PLACE! We travelled with another couple in January - we're from Texas & wanted to play in the snow - and wow, were we all impressed! This place has 4 cute & cozy cabins complete with mini-kitchens, a spiral staircase, and a loft. The cabins are located right in front of a small creek & have porches to enjoy the view & the ... Awesome Little Hotel
This is a wonderful place. It's about 5 miles up a very well maintained dirt road, right outside Pony. There's a main lodge and the 4 cabins, just sitting in the middle of what seems to be nowhere. That's what makes it so great. There were other guests staying at Potosi while we were there, but it just seemed like the most private place. ... wintersummer, a user of Tripadvisor. A Little Piece of Heaven
My wife and I visited Potosi in December of 2005. We had some extra days to burn prior to meeting family in Big Sky, so we searched around to try and find a nice place for some relaxation. Based on their wonderful website, reviews on TripAdvisor, and a few other resources, Potosi seemed to fit the bill. During the booking process they were extremely helpful with arrangements and recommendations. Since our flights into Bozeman didn’t arrive until late in the evening, we decided to shack up in a Bozeman hotel. Bozeman has an extremely fun downtown to explore if time permits. After a few hours exploring Bozeman, we headed for the town of Pony and the Potosi Resort. Potosi isn’t much more than an easy hour drive from Bozeman, but it is amazing how quickly you end up in the middle of nowhere here in Montana. The drive can be quite enjoyable, as a good portion of it follows the Madison River through a rock lined valley. Along the drive we saw bald eagles, quite a few hawks of some kind (Harrier? Red tailed?), two deer (one with 8 points), and some other assorted birds. Being winter in Montana, there was a great deal of snow on the ground in some areas. By the time we got out ... ehop24, a user of Tripadvisor. Read full review on tripadvisor

Nice little retreat
My favorite thing about the resort is the location. It's tucked way away off the beaten path. Every morning when we left and every night when we returned we were treated to grazing deer and incredible sunsets. The accomodations are rustic but very well appointed. The log cabins have every comfort of home and are situated along a beautiful river. The chefs are very talented and ... aqua_girl68, a user of Tripadvisor. Read full review on tripadvisor
