Fantastic Destination for a Mini-Vacation in NE Mississippi
This was our second visit to the Pearl River Resort in Choctaw, MS. What a fun place for a mini-vacation or a week-end trip!! It is a six-hour drive from our home in East Texas, interstate most of the way; a two-hour drive from Vicksburg, MS. They have week-day specials (Sunday-Thursday nights) and rooms are very reasonably priced. Last summer we stayed at the Silver Star, this time we stayed at the Golden Moon. The two hotel facilities are connected via a sky walk over Highway 16 which separates them. The rooms at both are extremely spacious and comfortable, but we preferred the more "traditional" decor at the Silver Star. The Golden Moon is much newer, and is ultra-modern in design and decor.
