Unbelievably Horrible!

Do not, I repeat, Do NOT stay at this hotel! It looks like something from a horror movie! This was definitely the worst hotel I have ever seen. The hotel is not even located on a normal street. Just go there, it's great!

I've never really wanted to go to Florida for one simple reason: Disneyland. I hate Mickey Mouse, I hate the idea of queuing for fairground rides and the idea of doing both in the searing heat has meant that Miami and Florida has been a no-go area for me. Even the thought of the Everglades, the beaches, the Keys and the fact that I'd be in the USA meant nothing when I conjured up in my mind's eye the queues, the bawling kids, the heat. And everyone says 'it's not like that'. Well, I get the feeling it IS like that and have steered clear. Until, that is, I had to go there on business. Snaxpo to be precise. An exhibition and conference all about snacks. To be honest I wasn't sure what to expect. All I knew (or thought I knew) was that Miami was a dangerous place. So I flew out of Gatwick airport early one March morning in an American Airlines Airbus en route first to New York and then onwards to Miami by the same airline. As airlines go, American was absolutely fine. I travelled economy (most of my employers have been stingy in that way) but the flight was pleasant enough and after a beer and a burger in an excellent bar in JFK it was back on an American ... IT'S HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!
