Bad showers, bad beds, bad service
I read all the great reviews on Rock Lake Resort assuming this place was good. I only needed a hotel for one night. My boyfriend and I were in town to visit my sister who was in Fort Myers for Spring Break. Given the time of year, Rock Lake was the only place that I could find that was reasonably priced and had decent reviews. I, like another reviewer, expected more given the reviews here. However, we were thoroughly disappointed. To preface, I am not picky, and I'm not hard to please but this did not cut it. In my review below, I will explain the issues of safety, location, quality of beds, bad shower and finally bad service. First off, the hotel is in a seedy part of town. State Road 80 turns into Palm Beach Blvd (the road the hotel is on). As we were driving through, we thought, please don't let our hotel be near here.
