We loved Purple Orchid Inn!

We weren't expecting much from our weekend golf trip to Livermore, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The wineries were very good, the golf excellent (Wente), but the best experience by far was our stay at the Purple Orchid Inn. It is a beautiful, log-cabinish lodge with full-service spa, tucked into a picturesque olive orchard in the rural Livermore hills (indeed, they bottle their own olive oil and serve estate-grown olive bread!)
