Since the plan was to leave the dog in a comfortable room while we went to deadwood (it was over 80° outside), their policy did not allow for this. more on VirtualTourist

The Days Inn in Sturgis was good because it was next to both entrance and exit ramps to Interstate 90. Many local conveniences were also in the immediate area, which was helpful.
