No bells and whistles but, it's a clean and safe place to sleep

I just got back from my weekend trip to NY and I must admit that the negative reviews on the Econo Lodge are false.... the hotel was clean, quiet and safe. Avoid to stay here

I had to stay there because of an interview. We arrived somewhat late by a cab. The staff was unfriendly and the atmosphere was at best scary. My wife felt very uncomfortable staying there. Scary place to stay.

Been to New York many times. Been to many hotels. This is hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The parking lot is small. We arrived early and even though there were empty parking spaces we were not aloud to park our car here until check in. We had to park several blocks away and hope...
