Slipping over the past year....

I booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Moriarty for one day this past week for myself and child as part of a month long trip. I previously stayed at this hotel two other times over the past eighteen months. This hotel slipped since I last stayed there in July 2004. I confirmed the reservation with a credit card. The reservation also requires you to submit the age of child traveling with you. Even though I correctly marked my child's age as one on the reservation and that there was only one adult, I was assigned a room on the second floor. The building has no elevators. The stairwells are relatively narrow for people carrying suitcases--clearly evidenced by the many marks and scrapes all over the walls up and down the stairwells. There isn't enough room for one adult carrying a bag to pass by another adult on these stairs. My child is too small to walk very far or to go up the steps. Not too shabby

I was pretty impressed w/ this hotel considering the "middle of nowhere" (in my opinion - not familiar AT ALL w/ the area) area outside of Albuquerque.
