Great place to stay - dog friendly

I travel to the Downeast Maine region weekly for work and have stayed at the International Hotel numerous times. Sometimes I am there every week. Great Place

This location has been a favorite with our family for many years. The only criticism we have was during our stay Sunday night, May 21. We recently came to Calais to visit some friends in the area and somehow missed all the bad reviews of the motel. Since all reviews that we read promised a clean stay, and many other motels in the area were booked for those nights, we decided to book both nights there. Don't let the bed bugs bite

We had to stay four nights in Calais Maine. Our work picked the hotel and paid for it in advance. It seemed ok to start off, nice view of Canada over the river and it seemed clean and well kept.
