A lot of folks come to Grand Isle because of its great fishing ~ tuna, redfish, shrimp, crabs and the like. more on TripAdvisor

In June of this year, my husband and I (both in our 50's) were looking for a place to stay in Grand Isle La. more on TripAdvisor

On the plus side, the balcony was very nice, the people were friendly and the beach was clean. more on TripAdvisor

And although Louisiana isn't famous for it's beaches, we all had a great time at the beach and in the water (which we had to ourselves) and were able to watch dolphins play close to the shore. more on TripAdvisor

I will be visiting again soon and for all my future trips will stay with Sand Piper Shores. more on TripAdvisor
