A mixed bag at the Shipwreck

We stayed at the Shipwreck for a week and I have to say there were real positives and negatives to the place. It is cheap as heck, true, and right in the thick of things near Time Square as well -- both positives for the most part. It is also a couple of blocks from the beach, so pretty convenient if that's what you are in to. Now for the bad: after one night in the motel and having cooked in the kitchen, even after leaving it reasonably cleaned and wiped up (dishes were rinsed in the sink and there was ONE piece of food on the stove) there were ants all over the kitchen - like a million little sugar ants... and while I realize that is a problem everywhere from time to time it was the response of the motel manager that upset me.
