  • It's a family affair at this 30-year-old combination lodge and campground. Rooms and RV and tent sites are attractively priced. Rooms have tile floors, wicker furniture, doors that allow sea breezes to blow through, queen-size beds, a second-bedroom loft, and vaulted ceilings. A skywalk joins the... more on Fodor's

  • There's a genial, sporty vibe at this lively family-owned lodge-campground-marina. It's a happy mix of tent campers (who have the choicest waterfront real estate on the property), RVers who look pretty permanent (the lawn gnomes are a clue), and motel-dwellers who like to mingle at the roof-pool ... more on Fodor's

Clean and cool 50's motel

The Big Pine Motel is your typical wayside rest, probably built in the 50's. They have done their best to make it comfortable. I have stayed there 3 times and have never seen a mouse, roach or any sort of critter in my room. There is a cute little breakfast restaurant on the premises and other... By A Yahoo! Happy Fishing!

(October 05, 2008 00:00)

I come down to the keys at least once a year for deep sea fishing. This place has been here a long time, and is solid as a rock! Especially during hurricane season ;) The Managment is very hospitable, the place is clean ... By zer0breach from San Antonio, TX, a user of Yahoo! Travel. Read full review on Yahoo! Travel

It's probably better than sleeping in your car

Not exactly the Ritz... but I usually stay here since it's the cheapest around when I'm working in the area. Some problems... -carpets are old and stained -decor is minimal and even hospital-like if you end up in the rooms with the all-white bed covers -no telephones in the rooms (supposedly they...
