It seems like a bit of a dodgey area, but generally it seems quiet safe. more on TripAdvisor

If I had to do it over, I would book at a nicer hotel, even if it is a little farther away (there are some great ones by the LAX airport, around the same price just that it's ~8-9 miles away) Lessons learned on my part. more on Yahoo! Travel

The area seems to be safe, but is not especially desirable for families, etc. I would recommend this hotel for people looking to get a decent room for a good price. more on Hotels.com
