Somewhat deceiving

We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express Hotel. I was somewhat disappointed with the advertisement that each room has a balcony. Ours looked out to a dilapidated old roof on a car washing business that used a very loud genrator to power spray their cars. There was a nice continental breakfast... GOOD: Nice location; very clean; helpful staff; easy access covered parking (right under the hotel) which couldn't be more convenient; nice breakfast spread for light, but filling, morning meal. This was our third stay at the Solana Beach Holiday Inn, so we generally knew what to expect. The rates were somewhat pricey this time because we visited during the horse racing season at Del Mar Racetrack. The hotel was otherwise booked with race fans.
