Pleasant stay until a rude awakening
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express La Jolla for two weekday nights. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and were given a room above the breakfast lounge area. I had concerns about the noise from the breakfast crowd after reading reviews on tripadvisor, but we were assured by the manager that this would be a quiet room. The room itself had a bedroom with a queen bed immediately upon entering the door.
