Riverbend Hot Springs is a great place to spend your vacation. Unique and special, it has an eclectic atmosphere and a diverse history. It started out in the 1940's as a bait house, selling minnows for fishing on the Rio Grande river which passes through it. In the 1990's Riverbend was discovered by Let's Go because travelers could sleep in a tipi on the banks of the Rio Grande, and wake up to a hot mineral bath. It became a destination hostel, and a decade of fun ensued. People from countries all over the world felt like they were in heaven, referring to the unique combination of a river, nature, and hot springs on the premises, yet walking distance from a friendly small town. Today (after the turn of the century and events affecting the entire country) traveling itself has changed. The hot springs have become the big draw in a country seeking relaxation.
