On Highway 530 travel 25 miles south from Green River, Wyoming. Go 2 miles east on Forest Road 009 (adjacent to Buckboard Marina).

• Additional Info: This is Buckboard Crossing on the Ashley National Forest in Wyoming, not the Manti-LaSal National Forest in Utah. Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground has first-come, first-served sites. All vehicles must fit on the designated parking spur. No refunds for bad weather. This campground is located in the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area (FGNRA). Vehicles must display a Recreation Fee Pass outside of the campground if using other recreational facilities (e.g. boat ramps, picnic areas, day use areas). Passes can be purchased from visitor centers and local businesses. The holder of a Golden Passport is not required to purchase a Recreation Fee Pass if the passport is displayed on the vehicle dash.
