There is plenty to do in Door County, including some pretty good antiquing, but also plenty of camping, boating, Lake Michigan Fishing, etc. Newport is just outside Ellison Bay and is very easy to get to (Highway 42 North, 2 miles east of Ellison Bay turn right on City Highway NP and follow for 3 miles til road dead ends right at the park entrance). more on Epinions.com

It is about a 1 mile hike in from the closest parking lot, and a nice local beach, public toilets and drinking water pump is right by the parking lot as well. more on Epinions.com

Door County is really beautiful country with many charming towns to visit and surrounded by on both sides of the peninsula by Lake Michigan, so there is plenty of beach and lake front vistas. more on Epinions.com
