Whether you’re on California’s North Coast to see Redwood National Park, for the lively arts scene, or for some quality sport fishing, the Trinidad Inn will exceed your expectations. The rooms vary in size, accommodating 2-8 persons with most containing kitchens.
Located just two miles north of scenic Trinidad Bay on Patrick’s Point Drive, the Inn is a great location with proximity to Patrick’s Point State Park, a few miles up the road. Indulge yourself in the soft mist of redwood trees while walking around the property. A forest clearing behind the Inn is a favorite spot for deer to hang out, fawns included.
Spend some time exploring the bluffs over the ocean. You’ll see blowholes that spout sea water a hundred feet into the air, sea lions barking and sun bathing on the sea stacks below, and nowhere will you feel the power of the ocean more than right here on the coast.
After a hike, lunch at the Seascape on the pier is a favorite spot for locals. When dinner time rolls around get a little gussied up and go to the Moonstone Grill for dinner, and the best view on the coast as it looks over Moonstone Beach with an unobstructed view of the ocean. If you want a little fun, head to the Cher-Ae Heights Casino and see if you can beat the house. Maybe it will pay for your trip.
And when the day is done, head back to the peaceful surroundings of the Trinidad Inn. There’s nothing like sleeping surrounded by a redwood forest. Breakfast is served in the Gazebo each morning, weather permitting.
Bring your pets. They’re welcome too! ($10 a day per pet)
Rates: $75-$175

Glad you listed this.
Like the whole blog really. But I want to know of good places to stay and recommend for others, or self if I leave my trailer behind.
When exploring the redwoods, Trinidad was one city I found challenging to learn about.
Thanks.
