Technically the Timbers all-suite hotel is not at Denver International Airport. Technically, there are no on-site airport hotels, but dozens are found in a 10- to 15-mile radius around the airport. My family has sampled a handful.

We live in the mountains of Colorado, almost four hours from DIA. So, often, we need to get ourselves to Denver the night before an early morning flight. Because The Timbers offers a park-and-fly package and it’s an all-suite hotel, it’s our airport-area hotel of choice. We’d rather pay the money to stay at a clean, comfortable hotel the night prior and pay a little extra for the room-with-car-parking rate, than get up super early the next morning and scramble to find (and pay) for parking at the airport.

A one-bedroom suite at The Timbers allows my husband and I to sleep in a king-sized bed behind closed doors, while the kids bunkon a pull-out sofa in the living room area. The full kitchen gives us a refrigerator to store juice and yogurt for breakfast. My favorite amenity: free wireless!

When you book a park-and-fly rate, you can park your car in the open lot and take a complimentary shuttle to the airport in under 20 minutes. We’ve typically paid about $139 to $159/night for the park-and-fly rate, and because the hotel is comfortable, clean and convenient, it’s worth it for us to pay a bit more than we would at one of the Comfort Inns or similar chains.
