Photo from Last Year's Cheese Tour

The Old Tavern at Grafton, one of the oldest operating inns in America, and a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is offering a Southern Vermont Cheese Tour.  These three-day experiences are great for foodies who love learning about where their food comes from.

Highlights of the Southern Vermont Cheese Tour include:

  • A welcome wine and cheese tasting reception
  • Visiting three other farmstead cheese makers in Southern Vermont
  • Learning about pairing and utilizing farmstead cheeses from a local cheese expert
  • Accommodations for two at The Old Tavern at Grafton

A full agenda of the three-day tour can be found on the Old Tavern at Grafton Web site.  It includes breakfasts, some dinners, and lunches.  The tour is being offered four times this year – June 7-10, July 12-15, August 9-12 and September 13-16. Pricing is $725 per couple, or $525 per single; which includes lodging, the full tour program and breakfast and dinner daily, but does not include applicable taxes or gratuities.

The Old Tavern at Grafton first opened in 1801, and offers thirty rooms as well as an on-site restaurant.  Modern amenities, such as cell access, wired internet access, and televisions are available, but are hidden from plain view so as not to intrude on the experience.
