The Ritz-Carlton Chicago (a Four Seasons Hotel) already benefits from a great location at Water Tower Place, but after thirty years of operation, it started a $25 million renovation project a few years back.

Presidential Suite at Ritz-Carlton Chicago

The guest rooms were finished last year, in 2009, but this month, the hotel is debuting the newly redone lobby, ballroom and meeting space.

Also part of the project is a new restaurant that awaits hungry guests to the Ritz-Carlton. Deca Restaurant + Bar offers locally-sourced and fresh ingredients in its menu that includes everything from seafood and steaks to salads and char grilled wagyu burgers.

The top splurge, however, goes to the new two-story 2,900-sq-ft Presidential Suite, that features floor-to-ceiling views of Lake Michigan, along with two bedrooms, three full and two half baths, a media room and more. Amenities include a baby grand piano, Bose surround sound stereo system, a 24-hr personal assistant and a daily in-room 90-minute massage (just to take the edge off the day). Oh and no schlepping to the airport in a taxi – a Rolls Royce Phantom will take you there in style.

The Ritz-Carlton Chicago has consistently ranked as one of the best in the world by readers of magazines like Travel+Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler. These new renovations and additions should only serve to solidify that reputation. I can’t wait to check the hotel out the next time I’m in Chicago.
