Some people like to drink a glass of wine to unwind. What if you could take that idea a step further?

Enjoy a Soothing Vinotherapy Massage at MGM Grand Vegas

The MGM Grand in Las Vegas has done just that by introducing what they call Vinotherapy Services. Grapeseed oil is used by many spas for massages, but these new treatments actually use wine.

The one that sounds the most delightful to me is the 50-minute “Pair Up” treatment that starts with a full body exfoliation using a Pear Chardonnay body scrub. This is followed by a massage. Price is $115 for this bit of bliss.

Other available Vinotherapy treatments include “Off the Vine” (a grape seed body scrub followed by a Chardonnay moisturizer – 50 minutes/$115), “Wine Down” (a light pressure full-body massage using Zinfandel-infused massage oil – 50 minutes/$100), and “Tuscan Merlot Pedicure” (a spa pedicure using a merlot-infused foot and leg scrub – 50 minutes/$75).

All services also include wine-infused chocolates to enjoy during the service.

Vinotherapy services are available through October 31,2010. It should also be noted that a 20% service charge will be added to all spa services.

To make a reservation, call 877-672-6332 or visit the MGM Grand Spa online.

If you’re like me, spa treatments turn you into goo. So you don’t lose that relaxed vibe, make sure you also have a room reservation at the MGM Grand, one of the largest hotels in the world. Right now, there are several packages in effect, offering room rates as low as $80 a night through the end of October (not including taxes and the daily resort fee).
