There’s a sweet lodging deal at Kentucky State Parks well worth snagging if you’re anywhere near Kentucky. From April 1 (yesterday) through May 27– and August 15 through September 30, 2010, rooms are close to half-price. Instead of the $95 for the AAA rate for a double bed room that I had planned for a night at Natural Bridge State Park, the one night room rate is $59.95, plus tax.
Natural Bridge is only one of Kentucky’s resort parks where this rate applies. There are 17 in all located throughout the state.
This rate is good for multiple nights which makes a days of R&R in the midst of Kentucky’s beauty quite affordable. To get this rate, reserve a room at any of the resort state parks at 800-255-Park and mention the deal.
Click here for the link to printable coupon. According to the regulations, you need to present the coupon when you check in.
The month of April has one more deal. The Spring Breaks Coupon found at the Kentucky State Park website is for one free child’s admission for every adult admission to state park’s that charge a fee. The list is included on the coupon page.
Lincoln Homestead State Park, My Old Kentucky Home and John James Audubon State Park are just a few of the several.
Happy April, and if you can swing it, head to Kentucky for a history lesson and natural world splendor. I have my coupons printed. For more Kentucky Parks information, the parks’ website is filled with information.
**added detail to original post: The lodging discount applies for Sunday–Thursday night stays. Friday and Saturday nights are not discounted.
