Finca Cortesin, a luxury resort on Spain's Costa del Sol, is within an hour of Sotogrande and Marbella.
Located in the heart of Andalucia on Spain’s Costa del Sol, Finca Cortesin exemplifies the best of the region’s well-deserved reputation for outstanding hospitality.
With just 67 suites, including ones with their own private pool (that means you can swim naked), guests are ensured a relaxing atmosphere and personal touch–but not too personal, this is Spain, not Thailand. Other suites offer private gardens or terraces with mountain or sea views.
Finca Cortesin’s Andalusian and Moroccan architecture and decor reflect the area’s mix of Spanish, African and Middle Eastern cultures, as do its three restaurants.

Look out over the Mediterranean Sea from Finca Cortesin's stately porch.
Spa Cortesin offers 2,200 meters of treatment areas–including a show cabin that reaches 10 °F.
Should you want to do more than rest, eat and drink, Costa del Sol is a popular location for wind surfing (not to be undertaken by U.S. presidential candidates) and sailing. Or book a tee time or lesson at the resort’s 7,000-meter golf course, which hosted the Volvo World Match Play Championship in 2009. Finca Cortesin also is adding paddle and tennis facilities in the next few months.
And there’s an Olympic-sized pool for those of you staying in suites without your own private pool, giving you more space for swimming, but not the privacy to do so sans swimwear.

Finca Cortesin's pool suites offer guests their own private swimming pools. This, however, is the bath tub.
While Finca Cortesin’s location seems remote, it’s within an hour of both the Gibraltar and Malaga airports (as well as hour of Marbella and Sotogrande).
Rates range from €350 to €1,500 and include breakfast (but not 7 percent VAT).
