Graphic designer Philippe Guilmin who runs this B and B, has created four themed rooms, plus a studio for longer stays, that will please anyone with an interest in travel and the arts. Chambres en Ville is right next to Place St Boniface known for its restaurants and nightlife, close to the European Parliament and about 20 minutes walk to Brussels’ historical centre. A metro stop is also conveniently located close by.
Originally an artisans’ workshop, this vast house has been transformed into a comfortable, artistic and unique residence, while maintaining many of its original features, such as the workshop and horse stables. Drawn from Guilmin’s vast experience in art and design and combined with his love of travel, each room, inspiringly named, offers a unique space:
Double Rooms:
Retour d’Afrique with its wooden floors, African block prints and roughly woven rugs.
La Vie d’artiste features original artwork, warm colours and a spacious bathroom
Double rooms are available for 80€ per night, single occupancy or 90€ double occupancy.
Twin Rooms:
La Gustavienne offers stained wood panelling, metal framed twin beds and rustic furniture.
Le Levant comes with warm décor, beautiful paintings and a cast iron bathtub.
Twin rooms are available for 70€ per night, single occupancy or 90€ double occupancy.
All rooms come with an en-suite bathroom, with bathtub, shower, WC and hairdryers. Breakfast is included for stays of more than one night (available for 10€ on stays of a single night).
La Grande Mansarde, a one-person studio is located on the 3rd floor of the house and comes with a small kitchen, outside terrace/balcony and Internet connection. Prices start at €400 for 15 days or 800€ per month.
