When we arrived, we were dismayed to find that the room we had reserved was not in the mansion itself (which is a beautiful building), but across the street in a beach house looking structure (but without the beach). more on Yahoo! Travel

Built in 1889 for $6,000 as a wedding present for Ann Starrett, this Victorian jewel box is by far the most elegant and ornate historic hotel in Port Townsend (or the entire state, for that matter). more on Frommers

This is a very beautiful house with authentic furnishings. We especially enjoyed the private porch connected to our room, Ann's Parlor; and, the spiral staircase is absolutely outstanding!
