Past it's prime
My husband and I discovered the Salt Ash Inn while we were dating in college, and we have stayed there numerous times over the years. It's in a beautiful location, between Plymouth (Calvin Coolidge's birthplace) and Ludlow (home to Okemo Mountain), and a charming country inn. Particularly nice is the large fireplace in the ... Quaint, charming Vermont-styled Inn with great new family owners
I was looking for a reasonably-priced place to stay near Killington and had originally booked a budget motel in Rutland when I came upon a listing that included the Salt Ash Inn. For just a few more dollars the Salt Ash offered a real Vermont experience instead of a motel on a main commercial road. The new owners, Karla and Naz, could not be friendlier.
