Service could be better

We recently stayed at the Alden House. The Inn was very nice, clean, and the common areas and rooms were very nice. We stayed in the Joshua Room which was very pretty. However, this room was right on the first floor right off the main porch. There was a festival going on in town during our stay. We were never informed that a local troop of ... Not quite what I would expect

I agree with the last 2 posters, in fact, I wonder if we were there at the same time as Heather.?! We stayed in the Upstairs Parlour Suite, which is right above the porch with the Irish Dancers. I became increasingly frustrated as the night wore on. This was day 7 & 8 of a trip full of sightseeing and i was looking forward to some downtime with a little R&R. There was no quite to be found until around 8:30, in addition to the dancers, there was a band playing a few building's down on the sidewalk.
