Great location, nice rooms, Disappointing Breakfast and service

We arrived about one PM on this past rainy Sunday afternoon. We were the only guests for the evening but our rooms were not ready. That surprised us. We were told that it would be another hour or so. So we had to walk downtown in the rain to kill some time. We had reserved two rooms. Ours was the Columbia room upstairs. That was nice. Our daughter, son in law and two grand daughters had been allocated the Garden Room in back. We took offense when a number of comments were made about the fact that we had two children with us and that it would be best if they were in the back room, etc. ... LarryKF1, a user of Tripadvisor. Rosebriar Hotel : Peaceful, Private, almost Perfect

For our first trip to Astoria, Rosebriar Hotel turned out to be the perfect choice. The property itself is tastefully restored and spotlessly maintained. In room linens, beds, and furnishings were high quality, including excellent thick bath towels!!! The location is stunning, walkable to downtown, beautiful view of the bridge and river.
