Below average B&B
Aluminum sided Victorian house. We were, literally, the only ones there. No host, no staff, etc, until the next day at breakfast. Bedroom ill-lit--could not read. The common/sitting room was, again, ill-lit with stiff chairs. Not homey at all. There was an extensive wine-list, but no one to serve... tonymsrad, a user of Tripadvisor. One night not enough

I hated we where only there for one night. I would have loved to stay longer. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was very romantic and the scenery was superb. The Burke Manor Inn is a true gem. While searching for a place to stay while visiting my son at Elon University I was fortunate to find this wonderful Bed & Breakfast and so happy that I did. From I 85/ I 40 take exit 140. Follow University drive North to Westbrook and turn left.(2 miles) Follow Westbrook to the stopsign at the end. Turn right, you will see Burke Manor in front of you.
