Live like a King for a weekend

It was an experience to remember. I visited several castles in Germany and I always hoped I would one day have an opportunity to spend a night in a castle. This weekend I came very close. It is quite something to be shown one's private wing in the castle. The rooms are all decorated in style with the building and contain loads of interesting furniture and decoration details. I have family in the area and have always had a problem finding a nice place to stay so I am thrilled to have found such a great gem. I'm actually an Amsterdam local that was looking for something different to celebrate an anniversary with my girlfriend... and what a great choice this ended up being! All I can say is EUROPE... who expects to stay in a castle in upstate new york? but there it was right in amsterdam, looming above us as we arrived. I loved the European feel and the Nutella they served with warm croissants.
