An expensive B&B for its worth and an owner with an attitude

Last weekend I went with a friend to Sandy Hook Cottage in New Jersey. I found the place clean and very well furnished, but rather expensive for its worth. We paid $ 440.16 for 2 nights in a room which did not have a view on the ocean, was rather noisy because it faced Route 36 East and had a shared bathroom. The owners were rather ingenious in trying to muffle the noise of the cars outside with a record of ocean vaiwes; however, I found that artificial noise rather annoying after a while. Rest and Relaxation at its Best!

Beware of Cancellation Policy, Giving Credit Card Info!!

Beware of their punitive cancellation policy, NOT mentioned on the reservations page or over the phone, but on a separate page, called "policies", which we were not aware of until we were charged the full amount for a cancelled reservation!! You Won't want to leave

We arrived Friday Night, The grand tour was taken, the room was post card perfect. We stayed three nights and wish we could have stayed more. THe rooms were all lovely.
