Reading through the previous reviews on this Inn I can only assume that either the ownership has changed or previous reviewers have excessive expectations as we really enjoyed our stay here. more on TripAdvisor

The rooms were the largest of our whole stay and were well laid out with a very comfortable bed. more on TripAdvisor

The inn was a lovely place to stay and is just far enough out of Salem that prices are much more reasonable and I would happily stay here again! more on TripAdvisor

So the Inn is definitly not a modern place but it has all that a german /european visitor expects from Newengland Inns: old architecture and furniture, a friendly Innkeeper and interesting talk ... more on TripAdvisor
