A Serious Warning
As other reviews have noted, the owners have two dogs; one, a very large black shepherd lunged at my wife snapping and barking when she opened the door of this B&B to inquire about availability of rooms. We loved the adventure of a last minute short vacation to Maine. An even bigger delilght was our last minute decision to book a couple of nights at Chapman Inn.What a surprise when due to a resveration glitch we were upgraded to their finest suite. The Chapman Inn at bethel is a family run New England Inn. Its congenial hosts Fred and Sandy give a great welcome. The rooms are homely and comfortable and the price very reasonable at around $80 a night. Fred's gourmet breakfast is second to none.
