Pleasant experience

My husband and I stayed at the Doolin House for a weekend in July. Granted, we've never stayed in a bed and breakfast so we weren't sure what to expect- we usually stay in large hotels like the Hilton or Marriott, which I am sure is a totally different experience. Relaxing, inviting stay

We booked a last minute stay here for an overnight following a family event in Somerset. We were pleasantly surprised with the property, as we had not read a thing about it prior to our stay. The house has been totally rebuilt, but it still feels very much like a period home. There are antique fixtures, furniture and rugs as well as modern and eclectic art throughout the inn. From I-75 take exit 62 (Renfro Valley). Go right off of the exit onto HWY 461. Pass through Rockcastle County and into Pulaski County. HWY 461 will come to an end at HWY 80. Make a right on HWY 80 (west). Follow approx. 8 miles to Somerset. Make a left at
