  • Description of Surrounding Area :Eastholme is located in the mountains in Pike National Forest, just west of Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs, and close to all the Pikes Peak attractions. The Olympic Center, US Air Force Academy, Cog Railway to Pikes Peak and the toll road to the summit of Pikes Peak are all withing minutes of the bed and breakfast. Just 30 minutes away are the quaint old mining towns of Victor and Cripple Creek (which now has limited stakes gambling). Hiking trails start right out the front door. White water rafting, mountain biking, horseback riding and other outdoor adventures are available.;Description of Accommodations :Eastholme in the Rockies B was built in 1885 in theVictorian style is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Poor choice for families with children

We held a small family reunion at Eastholme this summer, with children ranging in age from 7 months to 10 years old. Our children weren't holy terrors by any stretch of the imagination, and behaved quite well for their ages, but we felt very unwelcome here. There was a honeymoon couple staying in the nearby cabin, which certainly didn't help matters--there is very little outdoor space for children to play, and it was made abundantly ...
