What is not to like? The location is superb; we walked to dinner every night and we loved that I could walk to town and shop while my husband stayed back enjoying the TV and the hot tub. Pleasant, convenient stay in Saint Helena
After reading all the previous reviews, we were a bit weary of our stay here at the Ambrose Bierce. In general, we prefer not to stay at B & B's as we like to be by ourselves and not have to talk to people (primarily at meal time). Ambrose Bierce House was such a great place to stay in downtown St. Helena. WE could walk to all the restaurants and shops in town and even to Beringer Vineyards.
