Ideal Alternative to a Big City Hotel
We planned to visit the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford, and also Filoli Gardens in Woodside, so rather than make the 2+ hr. drive back home the same day, we decided to stay the night. The Atherton Inn offers a very nice alternative to staying at a hotel in this area close to Stanford University. The campus is a convenient 5 miles away from the Inn, but the residential neighborhood it's located in buffers it from the heavy traffic on El Camino Real, several blocks distant. The Inn looks exactly like a large, new private residence and blends completely with the neighborhood, with the only thing differentiating it being the Inn's sign. We stayed ...
