our fourth time-not coming back

Well... Before our most recent stay we would have said that this was our favorite b and b bar none with or without kids. The continued good points are: large rooms that are clean, easy access, great breakfast for adults, quiet even with the highway facing rooms (the traffic dies down at night anyway). We have been so happy in the past--no problem giving it a five star rating. Why have we changed our minds and have decided NOT to come back? Here's why.... Our first difficulty was with changing the night we wished to stay. We decided to get home a day earlier, so we called the proprietor. He talked a little, decided to get back to us and did 10 minutes later, with a "we are all booked". We were changing from a Wednesday to a Tuesday and we did it with a two night notice. With a 14 room inn in a small isolated coastal town for a midweek booking, that was a bit suspect. But--o.k. We arrived at 5:30 on our original ... toycofi, a user of Tripadvisor.
